Speak Spanish in a week
I listened to the 30 minute lessons twice a day for a week on my way back and forth to work. By the end of the week I could speak more Spanish than my son who had taken Spanish class in school for a whole year. I can already engage in simple conversations with my Spanish speaking friends. I have tried other courses but this one really works!

Far exceeds the competition
Far better than another language instruction audio that I tried. By the third disc, I was already way ahead of where I left Spanish in high school. I bought the course to communicate with construction crews that speak zero English. I complement the Pimsleur with the book "Learning Construction Spanglish" which has been a great help and has many helpful suggestions in remembering words and achieving basic communication both in and out of construction. Both are highly recommended. I did not hear very favorable reviews about that very heavily advertised expensive language course, but this one was used by a co-worker and a friend who can now communicate adequately.Far better than another language instruction audio that I tried. Great Value! Really does Work!
I have only been using this for 3 days, but I am already able to speak and understand some Spanish like I never imagined that I could. The program is scientifically based on memory function and recall intervals. You are taught a word or phrase, and then asked to recall it periodically. If you want to learn, and are excited to listen and learn, then this is for you. If you are lazy and you don't want to put in the time to listen to the 30 minute lessons, then save your money, you can't learn if you don't participate in repeating the phrases or if you never take it out of the box. I paid less than $25 for mine, and feel like I already know more Spanish than my daughter learned in two years of it in high school. Babies don't learn English by writing words and phrases on note-cards and being ... A while back I decided I wanted to learn a little bit of Spanish, and I do not have the time to take a formal course. Having heard about the "Pimsleur approach", I thought this would be worth a try. I am in the process of going through this course right now and I have to say, "This works". It takes some effort on your part, it takes some concentration and some dedication but it does work! You are called upon to speak the words yourself, both to practice pronunciation and to train your ear to the sounds of the Spanish language and it is advisable to do this. In the first session, you start out listening to a Spanish conversation, which is, of course, gibberish if you are unfamiliar with the language. By the end of that first session, a mere thirty minutes later, IT MAKES SENSE! Every ... Yesterday, I was able to complete a transaction at an ATM machine "en Espanol". If you need to gain some skills with Spanish or any other foreign language, try the Pimsleur approach!

Awesome way to learn Spanish!
I bought this product because I have I bought a business with a lot of Spanish speaking customers. I love the fact that it's 100% on cd's because I spend a lot of time in my car. The only little flaw I've seen is I think it's from a little bit different region of Mexico than near southern Arizona so I've already been told a couple of the words and phrases are a little off but everyone knows what I mean. I've already recommended this product to many people. And actually I rented one from the library first to try it out. I had also rented several other types from the library that involved computer work or reading or work books and didn't want any of that and the Pimmsleur was the only one I found that didn't require any of that.I bought this product because I have I bought a business with a lot of Spanish speaking customers.
