Monaco has a life all its own!
As GRACE OF MONACO Nicole Kidman rocks it in. All the elegance and reserve work perfectly in this role. This is just part of Grace Kelly's saga where Rainier faces political difficulties with France, and Grace is uncertain as to just how she fits in and can she leave Hollywood behind her, when she so longs for the freedom and camaraderie of working in a team production. It doesn't help that a close member of the family is plotting to take the throne. It would be very difficult for a writer to make this story up, there are twists and turns in loyalty and love. But and excellent cast and Nicole Kidman at her best. In real life the support structure that grows around Grace help her get through her uncertainty, and she does take on the role of Grace of Monaco. Excellent viewing. ... See Grace of Monaco before judging it, it's worth watching.
Even though this movie has received bad press, I enjoyed it very much. The scenery is beautiful and I did not have a problem with the storyline. My only disappointment was that there were no extras on the DVD as mentioned by some people involved in the production.
