  • Maggi is Art .

This book is a good showcase for Maggi's art and life . The text is interviews with Maggi , so this is her life in her words and not someone's version of her life . As she talks about her art , so they appear on the same page or the next , which eliminates having to search the book for the picture in question , I like that very much . I don't know what her standing in the art world is , I have been aware of her for decades , but never thought of her as great . My mistake . I now think she stands along side Hockney , Freud and Bacon . This is a beautiful book . I am now a big fan of Maggi Hambling .
