  • Amusing, not taking the subject too seriously

The very first line of this book sets the scene of what's to come. "The Unicycle is, without doubt, the stupidest form of transport ever invented." The author then suggests you have fun, gives a little history and gives you an invite on how to mount or dismount the thing. All of these 'rantings' are supported with diagrams and overall makes this an interesting read. The impossible wheel is mentioned but even riding this is possible with practice ( and safety kit!). I would recommend this to anyone starting out on their first unicycle but the only thing I found missing is what size is best to start learning on. My advice is to buy something most suited for your weight and height as I've found many a 20" wheel machine only suited to children ( less than 65 Kg) even though a 20" may be a good first unicycle for adults to try. This book does state the 20" is a popular choice. I'm happy to take all the advice offered by this author. Well worth reading.
