Im Rahmen biophysikalischer Untersuchungen an virus bertragenden Insekten wurden Flugexperimente im Park des MUSEUMS ALEXANDER KOENIG in Bonn durchgef hrt, die sich englischer Saugfallen (Suction Traps) zur Registrierung der Flugh ufigkeit bzw. der Flugdichte der Insekten in der Luft bedienten. Zur exakten quantitativen Erfassung der Insektenzahlen in der Luft hat man in England seit 1948 Suction Traps 1,2] entwickelt und eingesetzt, die mit Hilfe eines Ventilators ein bestimmtes Luftvolumen per Zeiteinheit in einen Metall- gazekonus saugen und die darin enthaltenen Insekten am Boden eines Metall- tubus (Abb. 1) auf halbst ndlich auszuwechselnden Pl ttchen sammeln. Diese Fangmethode erm glichte es erstmalig, ununterbrochen und unabh ngig vom Wetter in verschiedenen H hen und Jahreszeiten ein genaues Bild von der Artenzusammensetzung, Dichte und Verteilung der Insekten in der Luft in den verschiedenen Tages-und Nachtstunden 3-5] zu gewinnen. Die Fallen wurden in England in erster Linie zum Studium des f r Befall und Virus bertragung gleich wichtigen Blattlausfluges 6-8] eingesetzt, das in ROTHAMSTED EXPERI- MENTAL STATION auf breiter Basis betrieben wird und an dem ich mich von 1952 bis 1955 9-12] beteiligen konnte. 7 Abb. 1 Englische Saugfalle mit Ventilator am oberen Eingang, den Metallgazekonus und Relaismechanismus f r die Pl ttchen, sowie den Sammeltubus unten zeigend 8 B. Voruntersuchungen 1959 und Flugexperimente in den folgenden Jahren Erstmalig wurden diese Vent-Axia 12" Suction Traps, die pro Stunde ein Luft- volumen von ca. 40000 cu.ft. durch die Falle saugen, im Herbst des Jahres 1959 im Park des MUSEUMS ALEXANDER KOENIG (Abb. 2) auf einer Rasenfl che zwi- schen Garten-und Montagehaus eingesetzt.

Ok so I ordered this item listed as having free shipping. It was listed at $43.54 with free shipping. Somehow I ended up being charged $65.52. Then after waiting 3 weeks and having absolutely no tracking information I spoke with the seller who agreed to send a replacment, but despite charging me extra money was unwilling to ship that replacment in a way that wouldn't take atleast 3 more weeks. Ultimately this was a complete waste of time and the seller is not one that I would recommend.
