Die rasche Entwicklung der Metallphysik, die sie mit anderen Zweigen der Festkörperphysik gemeinsam hat, macht das Fehlen moderner zu sammenfassender Darstellungen dieses Gebiets verständlich. Anläßlich des 60. Geburtstages von Professor Dr. U. DEHLINGER, dem das vor liegende Werk gewidmet ist, fand in Stuttgart eine zweitägige Vortrags veranstaltung statt mit dem Ziele, die auf Nachbargebieten oder in Industrielaboratorien tätigen Fachgenossen sowie Studenten höherer Semester mit den Fortschritten und den Problemen metallphysikali scher Forschung vertraut zu machen. Im Anschluß an diese Veran staltung wurde von verschiedenen Seiten an den Unterzeichneten der Wunsch nach einer ausführlichen Darstellung herangetragen. Die Vor tragenden des Stuttgarter Symposiums haben diesem Wunsche gern entsprochen; als Ergebnis wird nunmehr der erste Band des zwei bändigen Werkes "Moderne Probleme der Metallphysik" vorgelegt. Die ursprüngliche Auswahl der Themenkreise wurde beibehalten, wenn auch natürlich der Umfang des behandelten Stoffs sehr erweitert und die Darstellungsweise vertieft wurde. Bei der Stoffauswahl hatten wir die Interessen und Bedürfnisse verschiedener Benutzergruppen im Auge. Vorausgesetzt wird, daß der Leser eine erste elementare Einführung in die Festkörperphysik erhalten hat, wie sie heute an den meisten Uni versitäten und Technischen Hochschulen gelehrt wird. Derjenige, der weiter in das Gebiet eindringen will, findet die Grundbegriffe der Theorie der Versetzungen im ersten Kapitel, eine elementare Behandlung der atomaren Fehlstellen in Metallen im fünften Kapitel und die Grundlagen der Elektronentheorie der Metalle in den ersten Abschnitten des sechsten Kapitels. Ergänzt werden diese Abschnitte im vierten bzw.

Ok so I ordered this item listed as having free shipping. It was listed at $43.54 with free shipping. Somehow I ended up being charged $65.52. Then after waiting 3 weeks and having absolutely no tracking information I spoke with the seller who agreed to send a replacment, but despite charging me extra money was unwilling to ship that replacment in a way that wouldn't take atleast 3 more weeks. Ultimately this was a complete waste of time and the seller is not one that I would recommend.

This is not a coloring book!!!!! It’s just a book of black and white photos and even if colored over would look horrible! This book is a scam and I have received 2 items out of 3 I ordered and the third hasn’t even been shipped.
