About this product

Product Information

The legendary cookbook that inspired Julie and Julia 'This isn't just any cookery book. It is Mastering the Art of French Cooking, first published in 1961, and it's a book that is a statement, not of culinary intent, but of aspiration, a commitment to a certain sort of good life, a certain sort of world-view; a votive object implying taste and appetite and a little je ne sais quoi. Julia Child was like Amelia Earhart, or Eleanor Roosevelt- she was a hero who'd gone out there and made a difference. Her books are a triumph, and also a trophy.' AA GILL, The Times This is the classic guide to French cooking, with over 1,000 clear, authentic and delicious recipes for everything from Boeuf Bourguignon to the perfect omelette. Bon appetit!

Item exactly as described. New with plastic wrap. Came with additional map that you can use as decoration. Very good guide to achieve 100% in Elden Ring game. It took a little over 2 weeks to arrive, don't remember if that was the expected time though.

Fast dispatch and delivery a great price. Pity that the packaging wasn't better as the book was slightly bashed up in transit.

  • it is important to read the advert twice befor buying on Ebay

I am trying to improve my cooking skills. This is not the Julia Childs book as it was written, this has been altered to bring it up to modern standards, this should have been highlighted in the sales advert. It is a nice book and well presented. You cannot compare this with other products. It is a case of buyer beware as with all products on ebay. I have been doing this for ten years or more and still get it wrong

  • A must for the kitchen

Fantastic book, old school recipes that are easy to make and very straightforward. My Omelettes have never tasted so good !
