Good quality workshop square
I've been hearing good things about Beta tools and I have to say this square has backed that up. It doesn't look that much as it is a blue lacquered finish which has already picked up some scratches before it got to me. But the real test is how accurately it measures. So I set it up with a straight piece of aluminium and a piece of perspex then scribed fine lines off each face to compare them. I can't see any deviation apart from the line where I accidentally moved the perspex slightly. Over 600mm that's a nice result. Particularly when compared with the next best option which are rafter squares that can be drastically out over the blade length. The short edge 330mm is equally as precise.
