As a collector of turned wooden pieces, I was delighted to be introduced to this book at a crafts store in AK this summer. Found it on Ebay and bought it immediately. It is a great resource for researching turned wood crafters.

As a gift it is very inspirational for the person who has already stepped through the door to bowl turning. From an education standpoint its' light, though one learns many new names of the world's trees. Challenging it is, as you are left thinking to yourself "How in time did they do that"??? Also, the combination of materials be they organic or inorganic, as well as the artistry, with compliments of added carvings! Some of these pieces had to have taken a whole lot of time to create ....
