    No need to it is well known.

    Great series and well worth having in collection. Only criticism is the sound quality though that is debatable since the sound was originally recorded before TV/monitors could ruin anything asked of them. Otherwise great.

    Entertaining but sharp focus missing

    Simplified versions of Cornwell novels. Wonderful backdrops, fast-paced action, crackerjack video and audio. Secondary characters one-dimensional (good or bad) with soap opera acting. Plots dumbed-down and often inconsistent. Bean convincing as Sharpe.

    Great DVD collection

    For a historical fictional character,(Sharpe) with some non fictional storylines, (e.g. Waterloo,Napoleonic wars) with some memorable battles this series is a fantastic re-creation, based on the stories of Bernard Cromwell, OK, having enjoyed reading the books, the DVD storylines intertwine the many books, but on saying that, the DVD's do not distract from the eponymous hero of Richard Sharpe and fully engages with the character and his enemies, a thoroughly enjoyable series, which entertains within the historical settings, great stuff.
