    Using a knee scooter can be hazardous even when riding slowly and carefully if the riding surface is not perfectly smooth and clean of debris. I lost control more than once when riding over a twig on the sidewalk that I should have rode around it. I toppled over and fell to the ground the first time this happened and now my eyes are glued to the ground in concentration as I slowly scoot along.
