    Mine didn’t fit

    I tried to put mine on twice. Each time it only went on halfway. First time I tried it one end first, second time I tried it other end first. Each time it went halfway and hung up, had to use the puller to get it back off. I used an assembly lube to smooth the way both times. I didn’t try heat, and I will keep it for next time as I just put the old one back on and reassembled everything. Maybe heat is what it needs to go on. Maybe next time. This race did not have any markings on it at all. The original Harley race had a part number on it which was facing out. That’s why I tried the new one both ways, thinking maybe there was a certain way it had to go on. I did get the seal behind it replaced, which was what I was really after. If I ever really do need to replace that race I’ll try some ...
