The initial ten pages seem promising, giving general information about the Kelpie breed, but from then on becomes a general guide to puppy ownership. Although the word Kelpie is scattered through the text for good measure, the information given is very general and applies to training any breed of dog. There are a few black and white pictures of pretty poor resolution. Some of the advice given would be useful to the first time dog/puppy owner but the title is misleading, and to that extent the book fails to deliver what a seasoned dog owner might want to know about training a Kelpie with it's sometimes complex character.
