    The Final Pantera Studio Album

The final Pantera studio album is somewhat bittersweet. Positively, it is another prime example of the musical songwriting skills and guitar prowess of Dimebag Darrell, something to be cherished in light of his passing not too long afterward. On the heels of the massively groundbreaking metal of their previous album, "The Great Southern Trendkill," this album seems a bit weaker overall, with singer Phil Anselmo having a little too much fun being "Phil Anselmo." But Pantera is Pantera and as far as metal records go, the band never released a bad one during their tenure. Side note and of no consequence to the music: one of the worst album covers I've ever seen.

  • Pantera's swan song

As far as I remember the CD, I can't replay it cause it got stolen by losers in Bisbee. But, I remember the CD to be a good rocking affair. I've owned it twice and lost or got it stolen.I will get again, not anytime in the future. it showed the strains of Pantera being together for too long.No new avenues. It came out around 2000,Pantera has been making albums throughout the '90's.Surviving while other "90's metal has long since bitten the dust. Not one of their best records, sounding like Pantera's swan song which it ultimately became. They was the long and whiny road for too long. Personally, I'm a big fan of their first 3 CDs,(Cowboys from Hell,Vulgar display of Power and Far Beyond Driven). Now, i feel the Cd is better much than "the great Southern TrendKill" which i believe is their weakest ...

  • Pantera...Enough Said!

The Cowboys From Hell do it again by showing why metal will always be around with their latest studio album "Reinventing The Steel." Phil, Dime, Rex, and Vinnie do an excellent job of reminding people what metal is all about with fast riffs and heavy beats in songs like "Revolution Is My Name" and "Yesterday Don't Mean Sh**". Of course, how can I forget songs like "Goddamn Electric" and "I'll Cast A Shadow" which do more than add a Texas flavor to the mix! With it's arrival in stores during early 2000, it was a perfect timing for the boys from the south to remind everyone who Pantera is and that true metal is far from dead!

  • Couldn't be happier.

Been looking to complete my collection and this helps a lot thank you very much.
