It arrived quickly and was the right version...
I needed this book for my general ecology class. I think that it's a great overview of ecology thus far. Sometimes it's hard to understand, but I think I just don't have a scientific vocabulary. But ya. It's a good read when you don't have the pressure of time on you.

The title is straightforward and appropriate.
This is one of the better textbooks available. It is east to read, and not too boring. I would suggest this book to instructors looking for an ecology text or to individuals with an interest in ecology. This text provides case studies at the beginning of every chapter relevant to the material.

Packed with Information
I bought this book as required reading for an introductory ecology course. A novice could certainly pick this book up and come to understand the concepts but the authors pack a ton of information into every sentence. Diagrams are frequent and clear; chapter summaries are a helpful touch.
