If you like soft boiled eggs, this is a must have gadget. It neatly tops the egg every time. This works much better than any of the scissor-like kind. This is the third one I have bought so that my friends have the best as well.

Just a little practice.
Pro: It's easy and leaves a nice clean cut in the egg shell that you finish by cutting through the egg with a knife. Con: Takes 2 or 3 times of practice to learn the correct method.

A quality product and an honest value.
It is simple, well made, and works as described. It took three eggs to get the right amount of tension to break the egg shell cleanly all around the first time every time. It sure beats using a butter knife and picking random pieces of shell out of the soft boiled egg. P.S. If you don't have an egg cup use a shot glass to hold the egg.

I have enjoyed soft boiled eggs for decades but not the little chips of shell that usually one cannot avoid. This with 1 or 2 pulls, cuts the top off so beautifully, I can't even believe it! I took a chance and purchased this although it seemed expensive for the task and I am so thrilled I did. You won't be disappointed. It may take a try or 2 to get the hang of it.
