I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of Nirvana, but this is one of the best Unplugged concerts I've seen. It's powerful and intimate. I also have Bob Dylan (fell asleep before the end) & Neil Young only on CD, which is OK. I'd prefer the DVD, which like this one, is one of those that can be watched over & over. Bowie added 'The Man Who Sold the World' to his own set for the first time, after Curt's death, though a new arrangement which sounded more like a lament to Curt.

who is this review for i wonder? nirvana fans will have seen it, and are buying it because it's essential to see them up close quietly playing. they know it's precious. new to nirvana? it's a live studio performance like a small club stage, with a live audience, they sit and play, in living room lights, so you can see and hear clearly, not loud thrashing nirvana, no camera effects! in fact the camera angle hardly changes. there's a little bit of banter. almost word for word what you get on the CD. he wasn't around for long, so it's a valuable recording. A+
Enjoy the unplugged DVD very much - such a tragedy that Kurt Cobain took his own life not long after this was filmed.
