light weight- secure fits- well holds gun firmly
This is the best all purpose holster that I have ever used. It is truly light weight and makes even a fairly heavy pistol feel comfortable on your belt and waistline. The design allows for comfort while standing, sitting in a chair,kneeling , squatting, and even sitting flat on the ground. I have several different models for revolvers and semi-autos and all work equally well. I prefer the roto type because it allows the user to change the cant of the pistol. But for general use the fixed position is ok. The only drawback is the initial stiffness but with use the pistol draw becomes smooth and easy. I have even been on search teams in wooded and briar areas and my pistol did not become dislodged while crawling and walking through that stuff.This is the best all purpose holster that I have ever used. Way too tight
Mfg recommends if too tight use dry silicone. Still too tight. Spread opening slit at rear of trigger area and use hot hair dryer to reshape less tight. Worked well and still snug enough to keep in place. If hips wider than waist, holster leans into your side & drawing gun gouges your bodies skin

too tight for J Frame S and W 637
too tight for J Frame S and W 637.. It clicks in with a positive click but it cannot be removed from holster without 2 hand. I am trying to shave off some plastic to soften the grip. Perhaps the problem is only the new Airweight J Frames? Don't know.

Lightweight, Good Retention, Easy Draw
I'm a fan of Fobus paddle holsters, having owned them for several guns. Got this one for my new Smith J Frame .357. I hike almost daily in black bear country and like to have serious firepower just in case. Have been carrying my 1911, but it's heavy and large for strenuous hiking, especially on steep slopes. Tried my Smith with IWB holster that I use for concealed carry and it wasn't comfortable, so ordered this. Very happy with it. This will be my regular hiking rig now.I'm a fan of Fobus paddle holsters, having owned them for several guns. Got this one for my new Smith J Frame .357.
