Great reliable product!
So far I love my ruff weather pet door. The dual flaps don't let in as much wind as the single flap. My dogs can see through the flaps enough to not run me over if I'm standing on the opposite side of the door. Very quick and easy installation. I only wish that there were a size in between the X-large and super large, my dogs wouldn't have been able to fit through the xl so I got the super large which is considerably larger but I still love it!So far I love my ruff weather pet door. Not up to the wind.
I bought this because my single flap door was always blowing open in the wind. I bought this and you get no rating as far as wind speed it can handle. When I got the box it said it can handle 30 m.p.h winds, which it isn't. If you live in an area with not much wind it's probably great. But for high winds it's no good, it blows right open.

Ideal Pet Products Ruff-Weather Pet Door Super Large
I think this door is a great product, I have a Large St-Bernard and a Mastiff, and they have no problems going in or out of their garage ? We live in Northern Montana and it gets -30 below or more, and it seals out the cold a lot better than the old Pet-Safe model I removed, plus Pet-Safe has discontinued making the replaceable Flap for the Classic Extra Large doors, I won't be Buying their junk again. I had no problem Installing this Door, I just had to cut the opening a little larger, and Read the instructions, and I am sum-what of a Handyman/Carpenter. Sturdy Pet Door
This pet door is sturdy and durable. The template didn't line up, so we installed the door without it. I have a very large dog that plows through it at top speed and it has held up to his abuse. I have a tripod dog and she is able to use it without any problems. We did have to remove one of the flaps to get the dogs used to it with treats. It gave us a sense of comfort knowing the dogs could go in and out of the house while we were out of town and couldn't take them with us. I also have a large dog who is terrified of thunderstorms and I hated leaving her when I knew our normal weather patterns would include late afternoon storms. We researched pet doors and this one was well suited to our needs and less expensive than the electric collar types. This pet door is sturdy and durable. this is the 2nd doggie door I have purchased in the last 4.5 years for my 3 English Mastiffs. If my big guy that's 200lbs didn't keep stepping on the inside of the door and broke the piece that holds the magnets that secure the door flaps down the 1st one would've lasted for a much longer time, I highly recommend this door !
