Trigiani's ability to bring the large, warm, enveloping--if somewhat dysfunctional--family to life will keep any reader engrossed and entertained.' ( Publishers Weekly ), Val's eccentric family keeps the book going at a quick pace. . . . Recommended for all Trigiani fans and those who've enjoyed a good cookie table (an Italian tradition commonly seen at weddings in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia)., "New York ambition clashes with dolce vita ease in Trigiani's delicious latest. . . . Trigiani's very best...exquisite writing and a story enriched by the power of abiding love." -- USA Today on The Shoemaker's Wife "I've always loved reading Trigiani, but [this] is something totally new and completely wonderful: a rich, sweeping epic which tells the story of the women and men who built America dream by dream. If you're meeting her work for the first time, get ready for a lifelong love affair. Splendid." -- Kathryn Stockett, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author of The Help "The novel is a sweeping epic, but at its heart, it's a love story. It speaks to an era of possibilities." -- Providence Journal "Delightful, energetic. . . . Seller handles a massive inventory so I give them grace on the slow processing and shipping. They were very communicative and prompt with their response when I messaged in asking about it. Book was in good condition as described. Small ding on the page edges which wasn't mentioned, but that's fairly common even at your typical book store. Still a good value and I'd buy from them again.

Book arrived today, 2 days before deadline given by the seller. Well-packaged & in good condition. Price was very competitive, & the book was accurately listed. Great communication. I appreciate the seller getting back to me when I was having trouble tracking the book's delivery progress. Apparently there were 2 different tracking numbers - one in Canada & the other in the U.S., since it was initially shipped from Canada. Thank you very much for your quick response & helpful information.
