    Perfect, Affordable Upgrade

    This cartridge was purchased after considerable review into moderately-priced alternatives to my Rega P3’s stock Elys 2. The difference is dramatic featuring greater clarity, detail, and depth. While I cannot personally confirm it, I believe it performance approaches that of the Exact2 offered as an upgrade option.

    Very clean sounding. Accentuates the instrumentation and balances the vocals

    All pickups need a little break-in to sound their best, but the listener also needs time to get used to the new sound imaging. Pickups I have previously used are: ------------------------------------------------ Ortofon Quintet Red (MC - current production) - I used to be very happy with the sound coming from my Quintet Red, but after I got the MP-200, the Quintet sounds only semi-detailed, and a little distorted at times. Ortofon MC200 (MC - discontinued) - fine line stylus and more detailed than the Quintet Red. Ortofon M20FL Super (MM - discontinued) - FL stands for Fine Line and this is a very detailed and nice sounding pickup. My favorite pickup compared with the Quintet Red and the MC200.     Impressive, Met more than my expectation. Did Not Let Me Down.

    The sound quality easily surpasses the cartridge it replaced. Instruments are quited detailed. Bass is clear and not muddy. Voices are excellent. All of my albums sound much better, like they come from better pressings. I love it! For the price their isn't anything better in terms of performance. HIghly rated. Thanks Nagaoka!

    Fabulous cartridge and worth the wait!

    I've owned lots of carts before, but this one tops them all! It's better than a lot of MC carts and has tremendous response at all frequencies. It took over a month to get, but it was worth the wait. I'm glad I have it now and will be enjoying all my vinyl with a better sound than ever.
