    Samsung BD-J7500

The BD-J7500 is all about visuals. The player’s 4K UHD upscaling does justice to 3D and Blu-ray DVDs, giving them a new depth with vibrant colours, defined details, flawless brightness and surreal contrast. Even lower-resolution footage gets a new lease on life with almost 8 million additional pixels being ingeniously added to each frame. Playback doesn’t reveal a hint of lagging or blurring, and the tell-tale jagged edges of mediocre upscaling don’t feature in the slightest. While it’s true that the picture quality is still not at the level of native 4K quality, the system really puts itself a cut above the rest by elevating whatever you throw it.

good player--fast load but has problem

I've had a number of Blu-ray players that were really slow to load. this one isn't, it loads very fast. Nice. I like the "same as stereo components size I am not a fan of the new micro size units. I'd say its a good value. I am a fan of Samsung all of my TVs are that brand and I have had excellent luck with them. I almost always have sony players but thought I would give this a try. My only gripe is that it doesn't always start where you left off when you stop it, I believe it is after it shuts itself off. Its annoying to have to start all over again and find your spot. I am going to check the menu to see if there is a setting. update- it usually will not start where you left off after you stop and if you wait more than a few minutes it wont pick up where you left off. you have to start ...

  • Samsung BD-J7500 4K Upscaling Blu Ray Player

If I could purchase items like this that are nearly $150 cheaper than big box stores, I would do it all day! The picture with this combined with my 4K TV is incredible. Viewing 4K streamed from Netflix is pretty good but that is a Netflix issue. Setup was very easy and paired great with my Samsung TV and Sony receiver. I cannot wait to see my favorite BD movies in near 4K. (Just a note - if you are hooking this up to a receiver that does not support 4K, you will have to hook it directly to the 4K TV. This does NOT play 4K Blu Rays but rather upscales them to "NEAR 4K" about 2-3K)

  • Samsung Blu-ray player J7500

I already owned this dvd player. I needed another one for my bedroom. The picture playback is outstanding. The set up is easy. Especially if you connect it to a samsung smart tv. I highly recommend this unit. The price was unbelievable on buydig. All other retailers want $249.00.

  • Great, but slow menus

Everything works, and works well (watching DVD's, Hulu, Amazon Prime). But, it's slow to load up DVD's, the Samsung logo and then the FBI warning take friggin forever, and you can't skip either by pressing a button (e.g. "Disc Menu", "Title Menu", etc.
