This is the third one of these I've owned. The first one was damaged by someone trying to measure voltage on the resistance setting. The second suffered water damage during a storm that broke through the roof, so I probably would still be using those two if not bad luck! This is a very good meter, and the only flaw with this one was the battery connectors inside the unit. They had been corroded by leaking batteries and one of the negative tabs partially broke off. I had to improvise to fix...and it works good.
I bought one of these from Radio Shack 20+ years ago and use it daily. I mean EVERY day. Although mine works like new, I did have to replace the leads a few times. When this new one showed up on e-bay I just had to have it "just in case". I felt the price was higher then I wanted to pay but these "new" are hard to come by. I'm happy.
A few things were wrong that worked out OK for my needs.
The model # was incorrect. This is a Radio Shack Micronta 22-185. I think the difference is the lead attachments. The batteries were also left in the meter and almost ruined the meter.
