"There is definitely something in this"
I have read this book before but lost it and needed to replace. My lovely little dog was very aggressive on lead embarrassingly so plus the fuss from him when returning home seemed cute but was starting to become annoying. As soon as I instigated the techniques he calmed right down and my dog is miles better behaved when i return home. It is really very hard to not fuss him until I am ready but he is so much calmer around the house. The walks have also calmed down but I still need more practice here. Jan Fennell has a fascinating insight into the psychology of dogs. Although some of her advice rather goes against my instinct to make a fuss of my dog, I have put her principles to work and there is no doubt that they are effective.
