About this product

Product Information

What does everyone in the modern world need to know? A renowned psychologist answers hard questions with a unique combination of ancient wisdom and clinical experience Jordan Peterson's work as a clinical psychologist has reshaped the modern understanding of personality, and now he has become one of the world's most popular public thinkers, with his lectures on topics ranging from the Bible to romantic relationships drawing tens of millions of viewers. In an era of polarizing politics, echo chambers and trigger warnings, his startling message about the value of personal responsibility and the dangers of ideology has resonated around the world. In this book, he combines ancient wisdom with decades of experience to provide twelve profound and challenging principles for how to live a meaningful life, from setting your house in order before criticising others to comparing yourself to who you were yesterday, not someone else today. Gripping, thought-provoking and deeply rewarding, 12 Rules for Life offers an antidote to the chaos in our lives- eternal truths applied to our modern problems.

    • AMAZING IN EVERY SENSE

This man is the most important intellect of this generation. I binge-read the book in a week and I’m now a fan of Jordan. All he’s saying is common sense but PC culture today makes him seem controversial. On another note, I’ll advise your ill-informed typical students that advocates for communism and Marxism to read some of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s work too. How can we know so little about the darkest history of the 20th century thanks to Karl Marx

    • Unappreciated genius

This is by far one of the most important people on planet earth today! He speaks the truth with passion and has a deeper understanding of the human psyche than any one of us mere mortals will ever be able to comprehend! The man is a genius.

    • Potentially a life changing read

Jordan Peterson is a remarkable man and this is a remarkable book His obsession with the dark side of human nature ( Nazis concentration camps , mass murders , broken societies ) is somewhat depressing , but it’s delivered In a way that’s relevant and thought provoking This book can change your life , regardless of your current situation Highly recommended

    • Amazingly interesting and insightful.

I would hate a review like this normally, and immediately move on but here goes! This is truly a life changing book for me. The insights into human behaviour were fascinating. You will need to deal with the fact that God comes up a lot, but not in 'true believer' sense, more that for most human existance we ahve had gods, and the christian God and associated ideas are a key part of the west's heritage.
