"It's nearly impossible not to care about and laugh with Sam. ...He appeals to the fool in everyone and comforts us in knowing that we're not alone."--Chicago Tribune, Clarke's novel sizzles...This straight-faced, postmodern comedy scorches all things literary, from those moldy author museums to the excruciating question-and-answer sessions that follow public readings., "Wildly, unpredictably funny...As cheerfully oddball as its title...the parodies here are priceless...Sharp-edged and unpredictable, punctuated by moments of choice absurdist humor."--Janet Maslin, Funny, profound...Larded with grabby aphorisms...Clarke's novel is an agile-melding of faux-memoir and mystery. It's a seductive book with a payoff on every page., [A] delightfully dark story of Sam Pulsifier, the 'accidental arsonist and murder' narrator who leads readers through a multilayered, flame-filled adventure about literature, lies, love and life..., It's nearly impossible not to care about and laugh with Sam...He appeals to the fool in everyone and comforts us in knowing that we're not alone.

Synopsis
"Funny, profound . . . a seductive book with a payoff on every page."-- People A lot of remarkable things have happened in the life of Sam Pulsifer, the hapless hero of this incendiary novel, beginning with the ten years he spent in prison for accidentally burning down Emily Dickinson's house and unwittingly killing two people. emerging at age twenty-eight, he creates a new life and identity as a husband and father. But when the homes of other famous New England writers suddenly go up in smoke, he must prove his innocence by uncovering the identity of this literary-minded arsonist. In the league of such contemporary classics as A Confederacy of Dunces and The World According to Garp , An Arsonist's Guide to Writers' Homes in New England is an utterly original story about truth and honesty, life and the imagination.

This is a frustrated positive feedback. I am always perplexed when sellers choose to ship via an "off-brand" shipper, e.g., OSM Worldwide. This tends to delay the time it takes to get to me vs more "traditioaal" shipped, e.g., USPS, UPS, or FED-EX. This is a pretty good seller. The price was good, the shipping pretty prompt (though deliver took a bit longer than I expected), and the communication was pretty good as well.

I recently purchased a book from this Seller, and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. The book arrived in excellent condition, exactly as described. It was packaged in a sturdy, reusable cardboard envelope using no plastic at all. Delivery was surprisingly fast, exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend this Seller!

This by far is the most amazing packaging ever. What an awesome surprise....The book ordered was in EXCELLENT perfect condition...I have purchased new books from ebay but never has one arrived as advertised "NEW" and perfect like this one. Kudos to this seller....I am beyond impressed...certainly will be a returning customer. The price for the book was half the price of the same book from other sellers...and it was a good buy.
