  • When Marnie was there, a true modern classic.

This book is amazing to me because it invokes precious memories and it truly is a modern classic by Joan, G Robinson. It is out of print and I was surprised to find it at such a reasonable price. World of Books are my go to on Ebay, they really are fantastic. Always arrives on time, no hold ups and it is exactly what you see in the picture.

  • A human story with magic too.

The second-hand book is in good condition. The story appeals to adults as well as children. It offers an excellent portrayal of lonelliness in childhood, followed by the joy of true friendship. Descriptions of the Norfolk coast are beautiful as a backdrop for real human beings as well as ghosts!

A genuine classic - and not only for children. I first read this in my 60s, and was deeply moved by it.

  • What a delightful story

It's so nice to have the afterword in this edition and the Studio Ghibli follow up information.
