The reason I put a new synchronizer in the truck was the old one was making noise . I had this same problem with a another Ford Ranger . There is a very tiny oil feed hole in the synchronizer that plugs up . The new one seems to have the same problem . Has the same noise as the two prior ones I dealt with . I am going to bore a bigger oil hole in the old one and reinstall it .
