A wonderful oven for cooking hot water and food in field conditions for one or two people. Universal for all types of organic fuel, safe from fire in the forest, compact and economical. Charging gadgets does not quickly, but under extreme conditions it is enough.

The design needs improvement... Incomplete invention. As a phone charger: It doesn't charge your phone much, in about 20minutes you might charge 3 percent, as the time it takes to go green is so long... you have 1 minute of charge time every 10 minutes or so. You need to keep the flame at 1 foot height, to make it green (the charging indicator), which can not be done if you are cooking on it. As a cooker: I found that you have to put the triangular stand on the burner, for it to not go out when you put a pot on it. The problem with this every time you put wood in, you dislodge it and it's too hot to move back into place with your fingers. Another thing is the pot doesn't stay on top, it has to be held. I've spilled my food because it won't stay on top. The slightest bit of wind will tip it. Also when the pot comes to the boil, it jumps off and tips. You have to lift the pot off every 3 minutes to add wood. As a heater: It good at radiating heat, it'll warm you up within a minute of lighting. One problem is the burner compartment fills with ash gradually, eventually stopping it from burning. You have to tip it. Other than that, it starts and radiates heat a lot faster than starting a fire from scratch. It is comparable to a recycled washing machine drum burner. Solutions (in case someone wants to design a better one) Pathetic charger time - add a fire proof solar panel (I did this to mine). Pot stability - either make a specialized pot with the stand attached, or make a frame to hold the pot more stably (I intend to do this). Ash flooding: either make holes at the bottom for the ash to fall through, or make a sliding ash tray (like the crum tray in a toaster) to collect the ash, that you can remove to empty it. Preferably with a heat insolated handle, so you don't burn yourself. (I'm thinking of doing this to mine) Thing that I think should have been included: - fire poking stick - pliers to pick up and reposition the triangular stand - a pot that won't fall off - BBQ grill - something to break wood with (I use an Axe, but a pince works) - flint striker Happy cooking!Read full review

i would recommend this product great for camping, The one thing i hate is carrying loads of camping stuff round basic and simple thats how i run, and this little product with a Thermal charging unit to charge you phones does the job, How ever the first one biolight came with had a pot stand for a kettle, how ever second version doesn`t so you may have to find something else to boil hot water i intend to get the Bio light base camp for longer stays then four days, great at music festivals and weekend stays.
