In the 1990s we used Garmin, then with marketting Tom Tom came to the forefront, we moved to Tom Tom, however when upgrading software lately had a lot of problems with Tom Tom, customer care was non existant, phone calls go everywhere except where you need. In desperation searched internet and purchased a 3590LMT. Immediately saw the difference, contacted Garmin by phone on a different issue, straight through to there service department. Quailty of screen, ability to monitor vehicle performance 'Live'through Garmin, and with a smart phone the Garmin brings up juctions ahead using real time junction cameras, no more extras to purchase, Garmin just a more sophisticated piece of kit, which we should have purchased earlier, even as soon as you enter postcode or address it has planned it within 3-6 seconds. If you are a multidrop organisation, then enter all the addresses and Garmin will sort out the order of delivery. Another thing as you slow to a major junction the Garmin zooms in then as you move into open area it pans out looking ahead for real time road problems and advises accordingly. Garmins downfall was they let others market their product vigorously, really recommend, Garmin even the pictures and profiles are more realistic, hence why Garmin are number 1 for Aviation and Marine.Read full review
It's got a great display and responds quite quickly but somewhere along the line the product designers must have thought that programmers were going to use it, not my wife!
Routing Software is much better than the Garmin Street Pilot I had but still takes you down back roads when there is no need sometimes. All though it will display images from an SD Card inserted in the side the time to load is very slow. Don't expect too much of this Valued Added side of this device.
Gets you from a to b but the voice command app is missing so cannot use it hands free which was one of the main reasons i bought it
