About this product

Product Information

A team of archaeologists, investigating coastal erosion on the north Norfolk coast, unearth six bodies buried at the foot of a cliff. How long have they been there? What could have happened to them? Forensics expert Ruth Galloway and DCI Nelson are drawn together again to unravel the past. Tests reveal that the bodies have lain, preserved in the sand, for sixty years. The mystery of their deaths stretches back to the Second World War, a time when Great Britain was threatened by invasion. But someone wants the truth of the past to stay buried, and will go to any lengths to keep it that way... even murder.

    • Murder, prehistoric spirituality, romance & police procedure set on North Norfolk coast. What's not to like?

One in a series of detective novels set in Norfolk with the main character being a forensic archaeologist, so plenty of tasty glimpses of bleak coastline & prehistoric spirituality mixed up with details of police procedure & nasty baddies. There's even a bit of idiosyncratic romance that keeps the reader dutifully motivated to buy the next book. if it hasn't been made into a TV series, it should be. Easy reading, good characterisation & settings.

    • Loving it

Loving it but only halfway through at the moment. After reading two others in the series ,it does not disappoint.Cant wait to get onto the next book in the series and to work my way through the whole lot.I read the last in the series first and it got me hooked to find out what had led up to it.
