Item was shipped very quickly. It's in a great condition too. The only gripe that I have is that it doesn't match the cover shown in the image, so it won't match the other books in the series! Not a massive problem, but it would be nice if they showed an actual book that you will be purchasng 😊

    first page is a portal

These books have a clarity I like. They are about character and motivation and though there is romance and brutality they are not driven by sex and violence like so much adult fiction I have read. There is no waffly description yet you know very quickly what everything looks like; there is no philosophising, yet they seem, to me, to have an ecological message, though perhaps that is something I have imposed on them. They are a bit slow to get into, but once hooked it is hard to break free. I like that though there is corruptness in her worlds, there are always those who fight it. The Fool is my favourite character in a book since Dorothy Dunnet's Francis Crawford

Overall trilogy is an imaginative story which takes the reader into another world in time. I enjoyed it but sometimes the detailed, almost rambling, style of the author. made me impatient to speed up the storyline.

  • A journey into real fantasy

I’ve never been a big book reader, but the farseer trilogy has had me hooked, it’s an escape into a lasting and fulfilling ecstasy. The characters are so well built and the world an unbelievable and infinite universe. Honestly, worth every penny and more.

  • Wonderful read

Brilliant story! 2nd book of 3. I gasped, held my breath, even shed a tear. Couldn't put it down.

  • Good book

Love this book series and really love Robin Hobby. The book cover I received was completely different from this one. Still a great book
