Wow, great sound!
I grew up with lp records, my collection is in the hundreds covering many genres. Most of my albums are from the 70s and 80s, and have been played extensively on a variety of turntables and cartridges. When I got this Sansui linear tracking turntable recently (used!) I was dismayed to find that it only handled conical styli. I needed to get this unit working, so I found the cheapest needle, this one, and put it in, not expecting anything great. To my joy and surprise it sounds absolutely wonderful! Balanced, clean, great dynamic range. I'm pretty picky but not a snob, and I can't throw thousands at my gear. This unassuming little needle proves you don't have to if you like your music. Very impressed and thankful. NOS did not age well
This needle is for a 1980's model turntable. The needle suspension is entirely too soft causing distortion. This seems to be NOS and has not aged well.
