A great little lens. The manual extension/zoom takes a second to get used to, but you quickly find it satisfying as it puts you more in touch with your shooting experience. It's very sharp for such an affordable lens. The only drawback is that the lens barrel is secured with a tiny drop of weak adhesive, so it eventually disconnects and spins without controling the lens barrel. Panasonic does a terrible job repairing this, however it is very easy to put some thin double-sided tape between the barrel and cover and it is actually better than new.

This lens is sharp as a tack at any focal length. I have used it mostly at F 5.6 and F8 but it appears to be quite good even fully open. My camera is a Panasonic Lumix GX1 which, with this lens becomes a powerful and pleasantly compact instrument. Absolutely no regrets.

I needed a wide lens and a light package to travel with now that I'm older. This lens fit the requirements for my photo bug out bag. The Lumix G2, 45-150mm and now the 12-32mm along with 2 batteries. The lens is a perfect addition.

This is a pretty nice lens. I believe they are originally kit lenses. Something very important to know is that they DO NOT offer manual focus.
