One of my best eBay purchases. This unit has certainly made life easier and better since upgrading from a much older HiFi that was constantly in need of repairs. Has all required connectivity including multiple HDMI ins and out to TV, Bluetooth receive and transmit, Coaxial and Optical digital audio, RCA/stereo audio, USB, Subwoofer, AM/FM receiver. I have two PVRs (DVD/HDs) a Telstra TV and a HiFi CD player connected, with 5.1 speaker sound. Video is 4K capable out to TV. Is a standard (larger style) footprint - exactly what I wanted to replace my older HiFi. Plenty of power to annoy neighbours and give great audio listening pleasure. Best feature is the value, but if your upgrading you'll love the HDMI hub and Bluetooth capabilities. Yamaha is a quality brand, and it took a bit to go ... One of my best eBay purchases. All good, get the Model that fits your needs, bigger is not always better.
This is my third Yamaha Amp, all good still operational just past them down the line. I like Yamaha Amps as I think the Sound is more clear and life like than some other brands.

Yamaha Rx-V385 Home Theatre Surround Receiver
This amp is an ideal first home theatre receiver. It's easy to setup and use and has just enough power for a smaller room. I am running my own quality 100w 8 ohm speakers and a 6 ohm 80w Yamaha centre speaker. The sound is quite good. I mainly bought this amp for the ability to do Yamaha Silent Cinema through my headphones. It does a fair job of creating surround effects in a set of (good quality) headphones. Iam using Beyerdynamics 990s. I am very happy with the results for the money it cost. This amp is an ideal first home theatre receiver.
