  • Excellent Reference Guide!

I purchased this book becuase I am opening a Produce market and had a lot of questions on how to make sure the produce you are purchasing is in quality condition. I also purchased this book because this literally has every type of Fruit and vegetable necessary to make a produce market run.. I actually did my first order from this book. It is an excellent reference guide from how to choose the right produce to how cooking it is best. Amazing book super happy with my decision to purchase The Field Guide to Produce.

  • Field Guide to Produce

Wow, what a book. Very well written, and an easy read. The author was really knowledgeable on the subject, realizing that many of her readers had no idea what some of the produce they hear about on the Food Channel. They want me to use what? I don't even know what it is or looks like. I love it.

  • This book was exactly what I was looking for.

I love this book! The purchasing, storing, and cooking suggestions are extremely helpful. The color photographs are great. The mini-histories on the development of each of the fruits and vegetables are fascinating. This book profiles a huge variety of produce, from the most common (oranges, lettuce) to the most unheard of (fiddler's fern, anyone?). Even the backgrounds on the many different varieties of common produce, such as apples and tomatoes, were interesting. If you are looking for a straightforward, informative guide to produce, I highly recommend this book.

  • Field Guide to Produce

You won't be disappointed once you purchase this cute and colorful book. It is a bit larger than your palm and full of information. It tells you how to purchase, store, what to avoid in appearance, what is in season, how to prepare and serving suggestions. Great to carry along with you while you shop for your various fruits and vegetables.
