About this product

Product Information

Love is a mortal sin, and the secrets of the past are deadly. Plunge into the third installment in the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series and "prepare to be hooked" ( Entertainment Weekly ). To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters--never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight. As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City--whatever the cost? Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the third installment of bestselling series the Mortal Instruments.

    City of Glass

This is the third book in the Mortal Instruments series and it is an action packed and compelling read! This is my favorite of the series and one that I just had to own myself.

  • The End of the Mortal Instruments Series!

Firstly, this is the must read to be able to fully understand what happens to Clary and Jace, Luke, The Lightwoods and the entire exsitence of shadow hunters and downworlders. There are definitely some great twists in the book. I loved the fantastic world that Cassandra Clare has described and the love story between the 2 protagonists is an emotional rollercoaster! Brillant. This book unravels all the deciptions and crazy lies that Valentine has done to try and finish his revolutionary plan of "cleansing" his people. I love this book and all the rest of the series that comes with it. If you are wondering what to read for Spring Break or for Summer...THIS IS IT!

  • City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

I really liked the book overall, there's certainly a hint of more to follow, which is great. I really hated Clary in this book, and found that I wanted to punch her lights out, but then I remembered that like every 16 year old, she rushes in into things without thinking them through, and thinks she knows better than everyone, when in reality, she doesn't. The rest of the characters are furthered developed, I really enjoy Magnus and Alec's relationship flourishing, a little too long for my taste with a lot of information that could probably have been skipped. Overall it was good, and I really enjoyed the end, it wasn't exaggerated and it was fairly believable that these people would do what they did. LOVE Jace, there was a side to him being explored that I definitely would love ...

  • Great 3rd book !

I really enjoyed how this 3rd book wrapped up many questions on the series! Great read and very hard to put down!

  • What a beautiful book!

Got my beautiful, wonderful, perfect book in the mail yesterday. :))))) I absolutely love it; it's got to be the most gorgeously bound book I've ever seen!! The cover is all metallic and the book is HUGE (as in not only thick but tall and wide), and I don't think the cover as ever even been bent back! Thank you soooooo much! :))) I can't wait to finish the book I'm reading now to start on it. Thanks again!
