      2021 4Runner Rough Country 3” Lift

      I put this lift on myself, but I will say the advertising was a bit misleading. Rough Country stated that the lift could be put on with “conventional tools”. Nope. You will need a spring compressor and fairly large pry bar, both of which I had to search for and borrow. Made for a long day. You will also have to have the vehicle aligned afterwards. The shop I went to told me they couldn’t align “altered suspension” vehicles. All being said, I might recommend just having a 4x4 shop do it all in one day. It would have saved me a lot of running around to be honest, and time is money. Now that the lift is on with new tires, it does look great!

      Totally a bad design

      I feel ashamed after buying this kit. Very labor intensive vs other brands. The shocks in the kit only 1/4" longer than stock. Ended up just buying other brand.

      Good for the money

      When I picked it up I loved it, had it done at a local dealership. Love the design, rides good. Only downside, after driving it for a few days the front started to sit back down a little bit creating a bit of that factory rake look. After I get that sorted out, should be good! Rides great. 285/70/17 KO2’s rub a little bit with the 1.25” whee spacers but i’ll get rid of that by modifying the fender a little bit. 3” RC lift 1.25” wheel spacers 285/70/17 BFG KO2’s
