"Everyone must read this book -- Congressmen and college students, Democrats and Republicans -- all Americans. The Federal Reserve, which serves private banks, has compromised our economy and is undermining our freedom. It can and must be stopped now. Ron Paul shows us how and why we must end the Fed. Synopsis
A provocative and controversial treatise that argues we cannot actually fix the broken economy without discussing the 800-lb gorilla in the room: the Federal Reserve. Most people think of the Fed as an indispensable institution without which the country's economy could not properly function. But in End the Fed , Ron Paul draws on American history, economics, and fascinating stories from his own long political life to argue that the Fed is both corrupt and unconstitutional. It is inflating currency today at nearly a Weimar or Zimbabwe level, a practice that threatens to put us into an inflationary depression where $100 bills are worthless. What most people don't realize is that the Fed -- created by the Morgans and Rockefellers at a private club off the coast of Georgia -- is actually working against their own personal interests. Congressman Paul's urgent appeal to all citizens and officials tells us where we went wrong and what we need to do fix America's economic policy for future generations., In the post-meltdown world, it is irresponsible, ineffective, and ultimately useless to have a serious economic debate without considering and challenging the role of the Federal Reserve. A good introduction to a subject not well understood

End the Fed is a very interesting read. It provides many compelling reasons for why the Federal Reserve should be ended. The footnotes point to many other valuable reference.

  • Ron Paul does it again

Thank you Dr. Ron Paul for your insight on the federal reserve. I feel a little more educated about how the fed reserve came about. Paul goes through great lengths in explaining why our dollar is done for and we need the gold standard back. Paul also explains his conversations with Greenspan, whom I will add that at one time agreed with the gold standard in the late 60s. Paul explained to Greenspan in several conversations his worry about the housing bubble and what we need to do in order to stop it. There is so much that I can write about this book, however I feel one must read it to fully understand it better. End the Fed now! Audit it!

  • Awesome book

ron paul 2012 end the fed ronpaul2008.com During libertarianish Republican Ron Paul's 2008 presidential campaign, thousands of his supporters burned dollar bills while chanting the anti-monetarist mantra "End the Fed!" Fresh from writing "The Revolution," a bestselling rant against big government, the Texas congressman has made that Jeffersonian slogan the thesis of his new book, a meandering diatribe against central planning, inflationary monetary policy and "the swollen ego of a Fed chairman." "Nothing good can come from the Federal Reserve," Paul writes. It's "immoral, unconstitutional, impractical, promotes bad economics, and undermines liberty." In light of America's possibly-over-or-maybe-just-beginning economic downturn, Paul's fetish for the free market and the gold standard ...

  • Easy to read. Common sense all the way through. Loved it!

Talk about easy reading...Ron Paul did a great job keeping me interested and understanding what he was saying. I love when he votes, he compares the legislation up against the Constitution and if the legislation doesn't coincide with one of the most beloved documents in the world, then he doesn't vote for it. And getting rid of the Federal Reserve should be our TOP priority!

  • everyone could learn from this book

Great book written about first hand experiences of Ron Paul. Very enlightening facts about our monetary system and how we are being taken advantage of.
