Solved my problem perfectly, and I even have some spares. They feel really solid and aren't going anywhere. It's only just a soft enough rubber to easily flex and bend in your fingers and stretch over the strap stems, but still quite hard so there's no chance they're coming off. I would feel confident doing guitar spins now, when before I wouldn't trust my straps to stay on when just putting my guitar down.
