  • "Breakfast at Tiffany's"

I have never read a Truman Capote book before this one. I knew that he was very upset when the book was turned into a movie, and didn't adhere to what he had written. After watching the movie over 50 since it's release, I would have to say the movie was excellent! Capote's writing style, left much to be desired in my opinion. The formatting was frustrating; it was like a run-on sentence. I ofter had to go back and re-read things to grasp the flow of what he was saying, and I am a voracious reader. His depiction of the main character, Holly Golightly, as harsh, lurid, detached, and promiscuous was very disappointing. I preferred the movie character, which left more to the imagination and seemed almost more wholesome and not so calloused as the character in the book. I can understand ...

  • A masterpiece

One of the most enduring novel in modern English literature, this book is an incredible read. Capote, in stark contrast the horror and realism of "In Cold Blood" paints such a beautiful and evocating image of Holly Golightly that this book is bound to become a masterpiece in years to come.

  • Loved it!

I love the movie and when I found out it was based on a book I wanted to read it. I found it for a very reasonable price and decieded to buy it.
