Four Freshman CD
I'm 65 years old and grew up loving the Four Freshmen. I have their very first album (Voices In Modern)circa 1954 and had a chance to get it signed in 1976 when they played Rochester NY. I have ALL of their LP's I chose this particular album to buy because many of the songs are by the original group. Over the years the original Four Freshmen have gone and the new "young members" sound a lot like the original but they still don't have the original Freshman sound. I was so glad to be able to listen to the classic songs that made the Freshmen so great. ThanksI'm 65 years old and grew up loving the Four Freshmen. A fine cd
If you want to buy just one cd of the classic four freshmen this would be a good choice. I bought this for a woman in my congregation that is undergoing cancer treatment. She says it takes her back to a time when she was young during her first love. Times were better then and so was the music. If you want a 2nd cd of the four frosh get the one with trombones/trumpets playing with them. It has some killer brass licks!If you want to buy just one cd of the classic four freshmen this would be a good choice. Old favorites
.There should be another rating between "Okay" and "Better than expected." This CD is much better than "okay" but not "better than expected" because I have had the audiocassette for years and I knew what to expect. The Four Freshmen have been favorites of mine since 'way back when.
