What made you pick it up: It’s a classic negative utopia novel that I have wanted to read for quite some time. 4. Brief Synopsis of the book: Set in London in 2540 (or AF 632), the novel anticipates developments in reproductive technology, biological engineering, and sleep-learning that combine to change society. The Society that is developed in this “future” is one of complete control over the masses. The result of this mass control is manufactured humans that are developed in a “human Plant” from test tubes.
