    Good value jobbing bits for cutting fixing holes in ceramic tiles.

    These drill bits are low cost and cut a clean hole in ceramic tiles. Ideal for fixing bathroom accessories such as toilet roll holders. Use a slow drilling speed. The bits get hot so cool with water. (A small pump up spray bottle is ideal). Use the smaller bits to form a pilot hole for larger diameter bits. These are not that durable so treat as a jobbing drill. For the price they are very good value.

    Poor quality

    Professional quality they are most definitely not. Using on a low torque and spraying water took nearly 10 minutes to get through a porcelain tile by the 3rd hole the bit disintegrated. The next bit didn't even last that long. Don't waste your money.

    Absolutely fantastic and a really good price. I was reading reviews that said they had to cool the bits during use but for one hole in a tile for a vertical blind controls clip, the bit went through like butter faster than a masonry bit thorough brick. Really impressed and these will last me for years!

    Amtec ceramic drill's

    Hi just wanted to let you know that the ceramic drill's are brilliant for putting up bathroom fittings, Drilling holes in bathroom tiles are easy to do provided that you put some masking tape on the tiles first, just a little cross where you are going to drill mark the spot that you need the hole, and start to drill slowly to start with. Be sure to have a glass of water for to cool the drill bit down, as they get really hot. Happy drilling. John.
