If you're reading this, then buy it, already!

An art book in every sense of the word. Written by the artist! Lots of pictures + fun anecdotal stories and parables. If you think you "might like BANKSY at all", then you won't be disappointed.

  • Street art at its best

They say that a picture can be better than a thousand words, and this book is proof of that. With the bare minimum of text, Banksy's Wall and Piece is an excellent book showcasing the famous graffiti artists' work over the years. From his beginnings in Bristol to his exploits in the Middle East, a huge range of his work is presented here. A few pieces are politically drive, some are topical and provide a social commentary while the rest are just great to look at. I 'read' the book from back to front, and with hardly any text, it doesn't take long, but I did stop to study each picture as they all tell their own story. Whatever your opinion of Banksy, his work really is inspiring and his attention to detail is fantastic. If you're interested in street culture, art, graffiti or design, buy ...

  • Optical Illusions to Mesmerize the Public by Street Artist "Banksy"

This book contains examples of the notorious Street Artist/ Graffiti Master known in the UK as "Banksy." Banksy is an anonymous artist, but his art is made predominantly using spray paint, and cardboard and posterboard stencils. Banksy isn't shy about his work, which is very interesting because despite its beauty it's still illegal when done on the streets. He puts up amazing paint/wheat-pasted images on the walls right on the busiest places in the world. This guy has guts. Themes are innocence vs enlightenment, poor vs rich, the people vs oppression, and other similar ideas. Very distinguishable. If you've seen 4 or 5 Banksy pieces, you'll recognize the style for the rest of your life. Beware imitators. Try the film "Exit Through the Gift Shop." Available online, or through Netflix.

  • Banksy's Wall and Piece - do yourself a favor

This was a GREAT purchase first of all!! Banksy is a genuine, hard-working, driven Artist in a world where any fool with a spray-can or paint pen feels everyone needs to know what they have to say. Banksy is the ORIGINAL in edgy, guerilla-style street art. This book lays out a time-line of the rise of this great artist with short stories of his art in the making. Great pictures and great writing lets you into the mind of this great artist, if even just for a bit. Just because no one understands you....doesn't make you an Artist. Do yourself a favor.

  • Better than Immersive Banksy Exhibition

The street art is the best section showing Banksy's work around the world up to 2005. The large size book is 240 pages with very good photographs s of the work.
