    common sense in a strange world

    Most of the teachings is this book most everyone agreed with, written in the 70's the author sees change on the horizon. Few listened and the results are a world where some can say, and not be laughed out of the room, "that boys and girls should share the same bathroom." These are strange times! Study this book give it to every boy and young man you know, I do. Let them understand and not get caught up in this sadness/ madness.

    Think the author misses the point

    Was very disappointed.. It places the theses on Adam & Eve to base it's concepts of masculinity and femininity roles. Stating that man is to do the laborious tasks while women the delicate tasks based on " Thou Shalt sweat at thine brow all the days of your life" for the men and "Tho shall have labor having a child" for the female species. But the book forgets that Christ came to redeem us from the curse. And that in the New Testament that "God is not a discerner of persons, neither Greek nor Gentile nor male or female, that we are all one in Christ. The book seems to incline that Men are to live unto God, and Women to Look unto Man in the same manner that Man is to look unto God, where's the New Testament states we all are daily redeemed unto ...

    Man of Steel and Velvet Gist

    I bought this book for a college professor who taught about sexism and brought up this book and its sister book, The Fascinating Girl. Although there are many valuable pieces of advice throughout these books, the author portrays and perpetually assumes women to be the subservient gender, which I feel is unfair.
