    charming

    I only purchased the book because I remembered I loving Little Pear stories told to us in first grade. I wondered why I remember that the teacher read them to us so I bought the book out of nostalgia. After reading it, I now understand how a child would be captivated by this simple Chinese child who had simple adventures that can I could easily identified with when I was 6 years old. It is charming and the illustrations are simple and appropriate.
