They did offer to have me ship the unit back for a refund but I'm opting to keep it and replace that latch with a locking one. They are otherwise as described. It turns on and boots, upgraded to Monterey. It works wonderfully… it has a bit of sticky residue on one side but luckily it was alright… will not go into boot loader with a windows keyboard but that’s not a problem with the seller! Thanks a ton!
