Reviews
"In DIY Solar Projects, he demonstrates how solar cookers, hotĆ¢Ė†ā€™water heaters, hotĆ¢Ė†ā€™air collectors and more can be constructed and mounted using ordinary materials. You can start with a small system to power a cellphone, and work up to offĆ¢Ė†ā€™grid systems for small cabins. Clear, stepĆ¢Ė†ā€™byĆ¢Ė†ā€™step instructions, a glossary and informative photographs are helpful. If you're curious about undertaking solar projects, this book is an excellent resource." - The Plain Dealer (Cleveland, OH)

    House emergency lights

I liked the book , but it needs more information for running 12 V DC lights thru a house for an emergency situation. Would like to see how to put something together, with terminal boards and wire and how to install so everything can be worked on at floor level. I have two 100 watt solar panels with a 1800 watt inverter . I use to power a CPAP machine when power goes out. Also to charge the CPAP backup battery. All I need now are a few 12 V DC lights. Glen

  • Wonderful project learning tool.

Awesome book with great how to projects in the back. The book can give you Ideas about saving money in ways you have not thought of. The book shows you a lot of ways to to use the sun. Some may be expensive; but, it has inexpensive self build projects as well. Depending on your budget. It even taught my younger brother things he thought he new already.

  • Good book
