As a professional photojournalist I had little need to produce fine prints. Now in my retirement I find myself being more and more critical of my photography. This book is a valued addition to my library of photography books due in part because it's well written but primarily due to the expert explanation of the zone system. I would recommend this book for those who have access to a darkroom and wish to improve their overall print quality. It would not be advantageous to those without access to a darkroom because the zone system of photography requires highly technical skills from film exposure to making the final print.
